The new ALICIA'S DIARY image campaign - jewelry, waves & good vibes

While gray rain clouds and the first slush of snow dominated the weather here, the team from the jewelry brand ALICIA'S DIARY boarded a plane and took off. They flew over Belgium, France, Spain, and Portugal – and then for a long time, nothing but the deep blue Atlantic Ocean. Around five hours later, we caught sight of the endless dream beaches and sandy hills of the Canary Island of Fuerteventura below us.

"Dónde está vuestro hotel?" – where our hotel was, the taxi driver wanted to know. "No hotel, barco!" It was clear we wouldn't be sleeping in hotel rooms, but in bunks on the sailboat! After about an hour and a half's drive, we finally reached our destination: the port of Morro Jable, where we were warmly greeted by Alicia, Kati, and friends, and immediately swapped our much-too-warm long trousers for light summer clothes. Warmth, sunshine – wonderful!

Early the next morning, we got ready to head out to sea in the sailboat to take some amazing jewelry photos! But one look at the harbor wall made us all too happy to abandon that plan: the sea was wild, as we could clearly see from the waves crashing over the harbor wall! And we certainly didn't want photos of our team leaning over the railing instead of smiling faces...

So, off we went inland! We eagerly packed the boxes and pouches of jewelry into Alicia's old Pajero SUV and simply drove off. Sand and mountains, gentle sunbeams on our skin, and the raging sea, along with Fuerteventura's wild beauty, created a fantastic atmosphere and a stunning backdrop.

But despite the calm winds and warm sun, the weather once again showed us our limits: Completely flooded beaches and a not entirely safe tide prevented us from visiting the beach, but drove us to the higher coasts - and to a beautiful lagoon with a bathing lake atmosphere.

It was a beautiful and long day, which we ended with friends and family enjoying seafood and a view of the sea. Tired and exhausted, we sank into our bunks far too late, full of anticipation for the new photos.
